My creative playground

Waterpark Courage

What started out as an abstract assignment quickly became a full-fledged passion project. The objective was to take a chair, change its nature, and produce a video showing the chair in its new context. At first, I had no idea how to change a chair’s nature. As I stared at my chair hoping an idea would magically appear, I kept thinking of a waterpark. Suddenly, I began to see a new world form on the chair, and Waterpark Courage sprung to life.

After raiding Michaels, I left with blue cellophane, paints, and a vision.

Final Chair Design

The finished chair featured a tall set of stairs, a steep waterslide, and a winding waterslide, all made with recycled materials. The process involved countless trials and errors, but I was determined to bring my idea to fruition, and I learned a lot along the way.

The ducks made an appearance during the concepting phase for my video as I thought of how to tell the waterpark story. With ducks came a new challenge: how do I make one move without being in the video? And so, I decided to venture into stop motion - something I had no experience in.
